Caution exit restriction

Coronavirus: which countries were restricted for Kazakhs to visit? «Kazakhstan will reduce number of flights to South Korea and suspend flights to Iran» informed civil aviation Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The changes will come into force on March 1. The decision was made by the Interdepartmental Commission to prevent the occurrence and spread of coronavirus infection in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Starting from March 1, 2020, the number of scheduled flights will be limited in the following order:

«Air Astana»:

- Almaty-Seoul, from 5 to 1 flight per week;

- Nur-Sultan-Seoul, from 2 to 1 flight per week;

«Asiana Airlines»:

- Almaty-Seoul, from 2 to 1 flight per week;

«Mahan Air»:

- Almaty-Tehran, 1 flight per week is suspended.

"Passengers are advised to refrain from traveling to South Korea in the near future, and also take into account the measures taken to return from South Korea to Kazakhstan. In this regard, passengers who have tickets from March 1, 2020 for the above mentioned flights can issue a refund of air tickets at the place of their purchase. Refunds for air tickets will be issued without penalties and in full," the civil aviation Committee reported.

As Zhandarbek Bekshin, chief sanitary officer of Kazakhstan previously reported: currently, planes flying to South Korea from Kazakhstan are busy returning citizens to their homeland. There are 34 thousand Kazakhstanis in the South Korea and 170 in Iran.
